Post can cell phones give you cancer?

EVERY time i am on my cell phone for more than 20 minutes, my thoughts drift to this epiosode of 20/20 i saw a couple years ago about how cell phones can give you brain cancer. i think it said the longer/more you talk on it, the more radiation or whatever you're exposed to, hence the more likely you are to get it.
is this true??! is it still true??! was it ever true??!?
it always bothers me to think about.
i would probably spend less time on my cell phone if it is.
but i don't know if it is.
and the times i've asked, no one else knows, which makes it even sketchier.
anyone?

My husband tried to tell me this about 10 years ago when we first met. That's why he didn't have one then. At any rate, I've since seen articles where this myth has been debunked. I'd welcome real links, though, from other members.

I know that I have heard experts and research both ways but as of lately it seems like all the research says the cancer and cell phone thing is a myth.

Sometimes the benefits far outweigh the risks.

I traveled 600 miles away from home to go to college, and I took every trip without a cell phone. I think my mom prayed a lot on those days. At any rate, we survived without cell phones then . . . but if I had a kid of college age, I'd feel much better knowing that she was carrying a cell phone on such a long trip.

Yes its amazing what we survive without back in the day. But now things have changed In fact I get qute ukred at people who talk on cell phones while driving as they are reckless and it makes you want to scream out PAY ATTENTION I miss being in the USMC because it was a common rule that YOU COULD NOT TLAK ON THE PHONE WHILE YOU WERE DRIVING and if you did you could have all driving rights taken away

I believe Minnesota was the state that recently came out with the law that all drivers ages 18 and under could NOT be talking on a cell phone while driving. It's against the law. I'm wishing that it applied to more than just the 18-under population.

I don't know if there are any studies that have really proven the link between cell phones and brain cancer, but if in doubt, use an earpiece.

You would think that if there was hard-core evidence supporting the connection between cell phones and cancer that it would be very common knowledge to everyone and seeing as how no one is for sure i would think that we are ok.
