Sprint!!!!!
Sprint should have some guff. I just see alot of complaining about verizon but Sprint will get my guff. They advertizxe nationwide but I guess South Dakota and Nebraska are not part of the nation..----I just signed a new 22000 minute plan for two years in AZ----now I have not used one minute because I have no signal in South Dakota.---they will charge me 500 to close my plan--what a joke!!!!

Isn't it time we have common towers for all cell phones--satilites---or whatever?

I agree
The same thing happend to me with cingular. I came to Southdakota and had just spent and arm and a leg to get my phone turned on and get minutes and then I have no reception... Verzion and Cell 1 are making a good bit of money off being the only ones with reception

I agree
I agree but even so----when you have to sign your life away on the darn contract---then service should be available---you still have to pay the bill---whether you can use it or not---unless 500 is chump change.

Dude -- that's a fat bill. I'd look into a different plan too. Alltell's newest deal with a circle of friends from any network makes for a nice deal. You can include land line phone numbers in the circle as well.

that sounds good to me
anything sounds good to me that i can actually use---I have about 600 in fancy phones---computer set ups---ands minutes to use---no roaming fees----internationa;-----text----I have everything----just can't use it here and that is painful. maybe worth the 500 lease pay out to get out of it.

I don't understand about the sprint. My friend in SD here had sprint for quite a a while but chose not to renew her contract because she felt she was being charged way to much by them. We live in southeast SD so that confuses me. It sounds like you really got ripped not the less. Do you hav a lawyer friend or someone who could check to see if you have a case against sprint or not?

I have a friend in MN who's parents live in the middle of South Dakota. Their phone won't work here and they get so mad. I think it will work in Sioux Falls, SD, but that is about it. You would think that by now that Sprint would have towers all over the place. However, there are places that don't allow towers. I know there was one community in which Cell One wanted to place a tower, they kept asking for years and the community always turned them down. It wasn't have something to do with money, otherwise I can't really see what the big deal would be.

I would think that if they can't accommodate you, then you should be able to get out of the plan for nothing. I'd speak to a supervisor about it. There's no point in paying for service that you are not getting. I'd complain so much, they'd terminate the service just to get rid of me.
