Question Optimum phone life/performance

Is it true that you should power off your cell phone at least once a day in order to get the maximum life and performance out of it? I had someone tell me this and I don't understand why it would make any difference.

Default never heard that

I never heard about powering off---only that to get maximum battery memory----you should let your phone go about dead before re-charging.

Ya I had heard that too, I used to plug mine in whenever it got down halfway or so but now I let it die or get pretty close to it.

I nver heard of powering off but it is good to let your phone battery go dead like what was mentioned earlier.

I tend to forget to charge my phone. I'll leave it set on the counter to be plugged in and then it rings and I'll go to another room while talking. Pretty soon the thing not only beeps, it croaks at me! One of these days I'll actually plug it in as soon as I set it down. But then, maybe that's why I've never had to replace a battery.

I've heard this too and since I talk till the phone dies, it's not an issue. I am wondering how letting the battery discharge, then recharging it, helps with the life of it? I would think that just keeping it charged up would make it work less and last longer. If anyone knows the answer to this, I would love to hear it.

See I am the opposite, when I am at home sitting at my desk I usually plug my phone in and when I get in my vehicle I almost always plug it into the adapter right away. I need to just let it run down and die more often it sounds like!
