Question What are some phones that seem to have above average reception

I live in a rural area and now that the bag cellphone is a thing of the past it seems like I have trouble getting a decent signal on my cell phone. Anyone out there have any suggestions for cell phones that seem to be more powerful signal-wise?

I didn't think of satelite phones, but I meant normal run of the mill cell phones- are there any of those that seem to be more powerful?

We have Motorola 810 and 815's that we use with Verizon. We seem to get pretty good coverage. I get more/better signal with my 815 that hubby does with his 810, so maybe they are just improving the phones that much better. We live in a rural area, too. Hubby actually regrets having total digital phone, because now a dropped call is gone. With his analog/digital phone he could at least continue the conversation when the caller went through a hilly terrain or the signal gets weak for a couple seconds.

Does having different cell phone providers make a different. Meaning, are there areas where certain cell phones won't work because of the lack of satellites in that area?
