My camera phone has a place to plug in an external flash- does anyone have a flash for their camera phone- this has got to be a joke right?!??

That sounds like an extra burden to carry around. I neverr heard of such a thing. Is the average person going to carry around an attachment for their phone?

I don't carry around a flash on my phone and it seems to work pretty well without it. Of course, I haven't tried to take any pictures at night. I guess it might be a good thing to have if you're planning for using it at a nighttime event. Depending on how big it is, it's probably easier to carry the attachment as opposed to carrying an outside camera and your phone. You will more than likely carry your phone with you anyway, so the question is, is the flash attachment bigger than the average camera? If not, it would be better to just have the attachment in case you need it. Has anyone tried to take a picture with their phone and used the attachment? How much does the attachment cost?

I guess for me the camera phones are not good enough yet to be considered a "real" camera so I don't take them too seriously. The flash thing makes me laugh beacause with the size of todays cellphones I can almost see the external flash being as big or bigger than the phone itself!!
