Question Do Cell Covers Void Warrenty?

i bought a plastic cover for my LG in the mall... they replaced it for me. I have insurance or whatever that is, so if my phone breaks or is lost, i can get a new one, but i was told if it doesn't have the original cover, it voids the warrenty.
it's not a huuuuge deal, cuz i still have teh original, but i'm just wondering...
does it?

I can't imagine that a different cover would void the warrenty, but it might pay to actually call your cell phone company and ask. Get their answer in writing.

what they are going to tell ya is since its not an authorized or official product from them they can deny you warrenty. one thing they might say is since the product u put on your phone is not one of ours its what caused the malfunction or what ever crazy ass idea they come out with.....as far as the insurance thing omg i think that is such a big rip off to but thats another topic

touche, g2064.
to quote that one singer from whenever "it's all about da money, it's all about the da-de-da-da-da-dam..."
but it's kind of a silly thought. if i had to return it, i would probably just replace the cover i bought.
i wonder if the stickers void warrenty as well .
