Post PC-to-Stereo Streamer

Now this sounds like a pretty nifty device. It's a streamer that allows you to listen to the digital music on your computer through your home stereo speakers. Nifty, eh?

Default Sondigo's Sirocco Wireless Audio Bridge

This, according to PC World, is the latest contender for the job of wirelessly streaming digital audio from your PC to your stereo.

PC World gave it an 88, or Very Good rating. It's an expensive unit ($140 compared to the popular $80 Linsys's Wireless-G Music Bridge), but its features and controls are well worth the premium.

Thumbs down One Complaint

PC World did discover one non-Sirocco-specific complaint: Streaming lightly compressed audio over Wi-Fi makes quality-of-service demands that a wireless network cannot always meet.

PC World rated it as the "latest contender," meaning that it's good competition for the system your husband has.

He's a step above us. I didn't even know that such a gadget exists. It seems like I could spend hours trying to dream up a new gadget only to discover that it's already been invented.

Seriously?! I could use one of those. I knew they had electric long underwear -- I've seen that in the Cabela's catalog.
