A microphone, sometimes referred to as a mike or mic (both IPA pronunciation: [ma?k]), is an acoustic to electric transducer that converts sound into an electrical signal. Microphones are used in many applications such as telephones, tape recorders, hearing aids, motion picture production, live and recorded audio engineering, in radio and television broadcasting and in computers for recording voice, VoIP and numerous other computer applications.

Different types of microphones are DC-biased microphone,RF condenser microphones,Electret condenser microphones & many more.

What is the best microphone you guys aware of. I have a sony headphone with a mic. I think it is pretty good.

Microphone is the device for turning acoustic power into electric power, it changes sound into an electric signal. Any microphone will manufacture deformation when it is overdriven by loud sounds.

A microphone is an electric or acoustic sensor that converts sound into electrical signal. Most microphones used today electromagnetic induction, capacitance change, the generation of piezo-electric light or modulated to produce an electrical signal voltage due to mechanical vibrations.

Microphone nowadays is essential and because a lot of people wants to have this we notice everywhere that there are some sort of changes to it. Now, you can find wireless with some features that you wouldn't resist. If it's not essential it won't improve but since you see nice changes then it's pretty effective to people.
