Default Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting comes to Live Marketplace

It is a old game but a true classic and I am fighting nut so this will be my first market place purchase. It will also have online multiplayer and be fully ranked.

Kinda cool, but you've been able to play a lot of old arcade fighting games online using arcade emulators with kaillera enabled netplay for several years now. There are a lot of fighting fan sites which host their own ranked tournament online games.

I donno, the sounds of the crowd at Guile's army base cheering coming from the back channel, as you hear planes flying over head going from front-right to back-left? They probably won't do that, and the whole 5.1 thing is just a nonsensical gimmick, but you know, use your imagination. I mean most movies have 5.1 sound even though the scenes in them are shot on a sort of planar stage (You can only have 3 walls to a set after all).

Also i have to say that the x360 is getting better by the day. I mean just last weekend me and some friends had a little drinking fun with the x360 arcade. The x360 arcade is some serius group entertainment.

You know I was a big SF2 junkie in college, I spent way too many quarters and time at the arcade. The one thing the 360 doesn't have is a good joystick. I know I couldn't really play SF2 well at all without one. All my consoles I that I bought a SF2 game have a joystick box with the same arcade layout as the SF2 machine. I could never get combos to work right with the standard controllers (SNES, xbox, ps2 or Dreamcast).

If this was one of the Alpha's I would be drooling like a dog but I can kick some arse in this.

Yeah, but unfortunately Capcom hasn't been all that great about updating their sprite-based graphics for higher resolution. On the Dreamcast (where every game ran at 640x480) only 2 of their dozen or so 2d fighters actually used art assets made for 640x480. The rest were just upscaled. So I doubt we'll see a high resolution SF2 for the Xbox 360, but that would be really cool if they did.

And yes, 5.1 surround sound COULD be cool in a 2d game if they do it right. Just because the camera is only facing one direction doesn't mean they can't give the impression that there's something around you
