nope I waited till mine made this funny sound everytime the phone would get ready to ring my tv would buzz for 10 seconds before ide hear the phone ring... LOL it was crazy then it would start doen it when a cop or anything with radar drove past our house we got rid of it.

That's funny -- the radar part.

My folks have a console TV (a tube one) that they've been nursing along for almost 20 years now. Go RCA. Two years ago they thought it was dying when the picture started turning a greenish color. Within a couple of days it was back to normal, and the thing has been fine ever since then. So even if mine shows signs of dying, we'll wait until the on button doesn't work anymore.

We dropped one off the second floor balcony at college and the plastic case around it broke but the silly thing still worked!!
