Default impulse purchase Philips FTR 9964

Hello. I've just made an impulse purchase on Ebay. I bought Philips FTR 9964.
I was hoping to have a switcher and transcoder in one box since the unit has a RGB output and two wide band component inputs. It was a shot in the dark because I really did not have too much information about this unit. I have NEC PG6 and 1031 projectors and currently using Key Digital transcoder which sucks.
I was wondering if anybody else is using this model for driving CRT projectors.
As always all input is welcomed and thanks for help.

Thanks for all info. I had no access to my computer for two days. I have checked all threads that were suggested but could not find what kind output it gives. Is it 1080i, 720p or something else. Maybe someone has a setup based on this unit and has more practical info and comments. Robert

Currently have a DTC-100 I picked up in an open box special and love HD over the CRT. I was kind of looking to the near future when I have the option of going with Cable box but have to have a transcoder and thought this might serve that purpose and then some. Might also work for DVD input better than the VB50 I use occasionaly for WAF.
