Viewing pictures from camera on computer
After I go and take pictures on my digital camera I will hook it up to my computer and view them. Sometimes I will copy the pictures to my computer and rename them. It seems like every time I do this the pictures don't show up on my camera anymore and it will say something like "invalid format" or something to that extent. What is going on here?

Try putting " .jpg" after the photo (without the quotation marks). This tells the computer that your file is a jpeg.

Not the one on the camera. I misread your question. I thought you were having problems with the one on the computer. I'm not sure why it would do that (yeah, I can really help you! - sorry)

When I download from my camera to my computer I just download the whole works and then edit them later. But I don't have to change the format to do this. My domputer asks my if I want to delete the pictures on my canera when I am done, but I do have to tell it to. I guess my question to you is are you required to change the format before you can continue?

No, I am never prompted to change any format or anything like that.

What software are you using? My Canon has Zoombrowser software that works very easily. OR try the Photodeluxe home software.

My pictures automatically get loaded into Windows Picture & Fax veiwer. Then when I change the photo name while connected to the computer, the picture doesn't show up on the camera anymore.
