Anyone else having problems with the canon software taking an incredibly long time to upload pictures from their digital camera? I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT, and the camera is amazing...uploading to my computer is a different story. I've had software from other companies (olympus, sony) that didn't take nearly as long. Granted, the interface is detailed, with thumbnailed menus and such.

But still...should it be taking sooooo long?

Did the olympus and sony have as many options? My guess is that it probably is the camera and it's options. I have an old camera, and its not real bad at uploading but I'm sure there are other software that are faster.

You know, I have a Canon Powershot and what takes forever is for the computer to make contact, after plugged in. I'm wondering if my USB cable between camera and computer is defective.
