PNG = alternative photo format
This is the default image-file format for screens captured by Macs and nearly all browsers can open them. Photoshop's PSD is lossless and preserves layers so you can return to an editing project right where you left off.
I've never heard of this format (or RAW) but both sound like fun if you have time to tweak photos.
