Whoops - sorry for the typos, Des. It helps a person organize and share his photos. In the past, Adobe Photoshop programs were also great photo editing softwares. We used them for yearbook development, and I used it while working for a local newspaper to crop and lighten photos.

I use Photoshop CS religiously. It's a great tool for designers. If you have never used Photoshop, you're in for a real treat. The things you can do with it is pretty much endless.
However, if you are not a skilled 'photoshopper', or don't have the time to commit to learning the different tools and what they can do for you. I would highly recommend the use of Photoshop Elements....especially for the price of $90! Photoshop CS runs about $800.
I taught my dad how to use Elements in one day, and now he uses it all the time to edit his photographs. Simple stuff like whiten teeth, remove red eye, cropping, etc.

Yeah it's true, there is no match for photoshop when it comes to graphics. I have been using it for more than ten years now (i think) and it continues to amaze me how many features can be mish-mashed to do fancy things with pictures.
