It's much more convenient than the traditional film camera.

Developing of photos is highly fast and economical with a digital camera. It is incorporated with various mobile phones and vehicles. There are various choices in a digital camera depending on their size, prize and features. Like Point and Shoot camera (entry level), semi professional camera (a bit advanced) and Digital SLR camera (for professional photography). High consumption of battery is one of the drawbacks with these cameras. They can, most of them, capture video as well.
The digital camera is one of ¬the most remarkable instances of this shift because it is so truly different from its predecessor. Conventional cameras depend entirely on chemical and mechanical processes -- you don't even need electricity to operate them. On the other h¬and, all digital cameras have a built-in computer, and all of them record images electronically. The new approach has been enormously successful. Since film still provides better picture quality, digital cameras have not completely replaced conventional cameras. But, as digital imaging technology has improved, digital cameras have rapidly become more popular.

A digital camera (also digicam or camera for short) is a camera that takes video or still photographs, or both, digitally by recording images via an electronic image sensor.Digital cameras are made in a wide range of sizes, prices and capabilities. The majority are camera phones, operated as a mobile application through the cellphone menu. Professional photographers and many amateurs use larger, more expensive digital single-lens reflex cameras (DSLR) for their greater versatility.
