Default Samsung NV3

A 7.2 megapixel camera that has a 3x optical zoom. It is super thin and made from stainless steel. I love how it looks and it is so easy to carry around.

The Nv3 has scene modes and in-camera editing so you don't have to wait until you get home to make your picture look perfect. You can converty your pictures to a variety of formats including:

MPEG
AVI
MOV
WMV
MP3
WAVE

I think it costs about $349... but of course you can always find discounts online..

Default Samsung NV7

If you want a little more zoom but you really like the NV3... you should try out the NV7. It has a 7x optical zoom. Still uses the same 7.2 megapixels. You can do all the same editing as the NV3 and it has similar scenes and features. The NV7 doesn't come out until this fall, but it is expected to go for $449...

You really are just paying for the extra zoom. But for people who want a full featured camera that is cool looking and light weight...this will be perfect!

Default Samsung NV10

The other option in samsung camera's is the NV10. This one will also be out in the fall of 2006. Instead of the extra 7x zoom like the NV7 this camera has a 10 megapixel picture capacity. The higher quality picture looks great and the camera is only going to retail for $399.

The down side is that you exchange the higher megapixels for less zoom. You are back down to a 3x zoom with this camera.

Default Canon PowerShot A700

I was just bragging about this camera on another thread.
It has a big 2.5" LCD screen and 6x Optical. Those are the two main reasons I bought it. I did hours and hours of research and this had just come out in February (I bought mine in March) and based on what the industry's experts were saying, Canon has done a great job developing this line of digital cameras.

I was just talking about the new one I am going to get in a other thread too, but mine is a Kodak Easyshare Z650.

It is 6.1 MP and can make prints up to 20 × 30 in. It has a 10x optical zoom, and comes with a lot of other cool features. It's not bad and is only $299.95 which in my opinion is a good deal for a camera that looks and performs fairly professionally.

We are also getting the lil Easyshare docking stationtoo. So, we can print our own photos.

We are starting a lil home photography business, and we feel this camera is a good choice. I have always had fantastic results with my Kodack cameras.

I take pictures of my children almost daily and wouldn't be able to live without my Kodak EasyShare CX7430. It's been dropped (accidentally) by my children so it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

For us the Sony Mavica has worked out really well. Ours is a 5 mp one, but we're currently drooling over a Canon that takes 3 frames per second. That's my only complaint about our (and just about every other digital) camera: it's a slow processor. We push the button, and then a second later it snaps the picture. Yuck.
