Question Gaming system plays DVD's?

I recall a few years back when my husband would use a gaming system to play DVD's. Is this still possible, or is it something I dreamed up?

You didn't dream it. The PS2 will play DVDs and CDs. I think the new console game systems coming out have the same capabilities.

That's a really nice feature for those that don't have DVD players. I also think it's a nice feature if you want to clean up the look of your entertainment system.

That would be kind of nice, I know I use my dvd player to play cds and obviously dvds, now you could do both of those and games all on one unit.

Yeah - and like I said, it would really clean up the look under your TV. I don't know about you, but I hate having five different boxes for five different functions squeezed into our entertainment center.

It not a very high in player but it works decently, as cheap as DVD players are now they should be able to updated the technology in the game systems.

You bet they have... You can get a combo for 30 at wally world... When my husband was a fresh recruit he use to sit in his barricks and watch his DVDs on that.

All new gen game systems include a dvd player. I saw dvds players in Wal-Mart for $29.99 not bad considering the used to be in the hundreds. The life of these cheep dvd players are about 1 to 1 and a half years, but who really cares when you can just pick another one up for 29 bucks.
