Default Netflix Problem

I am a subscriber to Netflix and very often have problems viewing the DVDs they send me. Netflix sends its DVDs in a thin envelope with no protective padding. I think somehow the DVDs are getting scratched during shipping, even when it's a new release that should still be in good condition. I was beginning to think something was wrong with my DVD player, but I don't have a problem watching the DVDs I own. It's only the Netflix movies that are scratched and have scenes that are choppy. Does anyone else have this problem?

Blockbuster online has the same problems. I wonder how often they have to replace DVDs. Seems that they would invest in better envelopes to send them out.

I did the Netflix thing for a few months, but never had any that wouldn't play. The trouble I had was that the dvd package would tear apart from the shipping label. One day I got my mail and all that was in it was the front flap of the envelope from Netflix with my name on it. The post office ended up just sending the dvd back to Netflix because once the flap is torn off the return address shows up.

I often wondered if anyone ever had problems with netflix movies being in the mail. mY friend has been using netflix for a few years now and has had no problems but I wondered if he was just one of the lucky ones or if anyonewas having any problems at all.
