DVD works in PC, not DVD player
I have a DVD of Cheaper by the Dozen that works perfectly on my computer but turns digital and stops completely in our DVD player. I've not had any other problems with DVDs in our DVD player. Any ideas?

Occasionally DVDs have a very tiny scratch that is hard to see. It is enough that the DVD player will not read the disk. Also, if the DVD is smudged then it may need to be cleaned. I have had that problem before. One other thing that you may need to try, take the DVD out and put it in agian. I am not real sure why that seems to make a DVDs. If nothing else works try cleaning your DVD player. It is important to vacuum the vents off often. The dust can wreak havoc on these DVD players. If none of the above works and you still have problems with only that DVD you can assume it is the DVD. Good luck! I hope something I suggested helps!

I have the same problem. But I always wondered if it was just someithing wrong with the cd. Maybe a scratch or something? Does that make sinese to you. If come across the solution let me know. I've ahd that experience with two or three of my cds. But you, someimes I do take them out and put them in again and once in a while I will have good luck with that. But not always.

I've had the same problem, and a member told me that basically some car stereos won't read cd-rw. Check to see what kind of cd you have -- a cdr or a cd-rw.
