If you get a season pass does that cost extra? Also, does it cost extra to hook up to dvr or tivo? I mean like extra per month?

It doesn't cost to have a season pass for a regular show. However, if you're getting a pay-per-view item, like an NFL Season Pass or an NHL package, you pay quite a little, like hundred(s) of dollars.

The one drawback to both TiVo and DVRs is that they no longer require us to pay attention to what we're watching b/c we can just rewind the show. I often find myself reaching for a button on my car stereo to do that when I space off and miss some information. Yikes.

I also love my DVR. It was quite a hassle getting the system into my house from DISH NETWORK, but after a month of calling customer service, two bad units, charges that didn't apply, I am finally able to watch commercial free television.

This is the way it was meant to be!
