Exclamation Should I buy HD movies even I don't have a HD DVD player?

Should I start buying HD movies in the next few months even I don't have a HD DVD player but will get a HD DVD player years later?

I'd suggest not getting titles right now since when the prices for this software will be a lot lower a couple years from now than they will be at launch.

Not too mention, if the HD-DVD format fails and Blu-ray is the norm, you may not be able to watch them 2 years from now.

I'll buy an HD-DVD as a memento, just like I bought a DIVX disc back in the day.

I would only recommend doing it for not well-known titles that may go out of print. For example, Criterions.

Hold off, prices will drop. No sense in paying a premium for discs that you can't watch.

Just wait until you have a player and start picking them up then.
