Universal remotes are a dandy invention if you ask me. My nephew (age 2) lost one of his dad's remotes. Yikes. The Universal Remote saved the day.

Well, until I can find a remote that will easily control all my stuff I will look for a remote holder of some type so at least they are all in one place!!

To get a universal remote to cover every component (including the tivo) I had to go with a high-end sony remote. I got it through a rewards program rather than shelling out the $200 for it. But I've had too many "universal" remotes that work for most things but not everything, so I'm finally free of the clutter and only have to keep batteries in ONE remote.

There are plenty of remotes out there that will control up mutiple devices. Just take a google search for universal remote control superstore

They are out there, but beware, you will pay. It's well worth it if every component is needed.
