Default Computer display

A computer display (also known as a computer monitor, computer screen, or computer video display) is a device that can display signals generated by a computer as images on a screen. (From the Latin verb moneo: to warn, advise.) There are many types of monitors, but they generally conform to display standards. Once an essential component of computer terminals, computer displays have long since become standardised peripherals in their own right.

I remember when computers first started coming out, where anyone could buy one for their home. The computer screen from that era and up until a few years ago, hadn't really changed. In fact, the simple layout of the computer hasn't changed. The color and clarity have definitely improved though. There are different sizes of computer displays. Which type of display you want, is not so much based on what is popular, but more on what style you prefer for what your own personal use is. There are different setups for how much color and speed your display can work at that also might be a factor.

Default we have come along way Baby!!!!

My first computer cost about 4500 with printer and needed a full two foot deep desk to fit the thing on---the screen was relitively small---the thing was heavy---and the brain box was huge and heavy without of course USB or DVD===or CD for that matter. My desk puter is a flat screen with surround sound---dvd/burner--wireless---6 usb ports and only stands 12 inches tall---maybe 15 deep by 4 inches wide.I have a large screen for my aging eyesight----loading programs is simple-----and we sure have come along way.

Monitors generally conform to one or more display standards. It is part of the general class of computer output devices (display devices, thus are a sub-class) which also includes computer peripherals. There is a computer in that MP3 player, 'microwave ovens and modern stoves', 'automobile dashboards' and 'automobile engines', various 'amusement park rides' and etcetera; all devices a computer can and do directly control and command in today's world.
