Question OnLine banking

I am amazed how I ever went to the bank years ago each time I wanted to find out what transactions went through. i manage all my accounts on line today and most of my financial dealings. How about you---when did you start coverting to online----what is your general feeling?

I converted to online banking about a year and a half ago. After my initial paranoia, I found it to be a great thing. If you're like me and sometimes have to figure out why you don't have as much money in your account that you thought you had, you can easily go online and discover what purchase it is that you forgot and where you made it. It's the easiest way to keep track of things and you can manage all of your accounts a lot easier than with paper statements. I wish they'd come up with this a long time ago.

I use it a lot. With three checking accounts to take care of, it makes it very easy to keep everything straight. And to figure out where the mistakes are.

I was also leery at first about managing my accounts online, but now love it. I think it is great being able to get on the internet and see how much you have in your account, and transfer money or even pay bills if needed. You can just get online whenever you need to and not have to wait for a statement come in the mail. You can even receive your statements by e-mail instead of snail mail, which is way faster.

Having hard copy statements is one thing I'm old-fashioned about. I like the hard copy. I know I can print a copy myself. I guess it's that last little part of the process I refuse to let go of for some reason.

I really enjoy having access to my accounts on line. I also pay most of my bills on line. I have had one problem though, sometime the dates on my on line transactions and paper statements don't match up. I am very meticulous about having them match exactly and that drives me nuts!

Wow - that would drive me nuts too. Is this because your transaction is not reflected until the next day?

That could be it but I don't know for sure. The bank gets all screwed up when I show it to them. Obviously they don't have any idea how to match them either. As long as it doesn't effect charges or cause any overdrafts it is more of a inconvenience than anything else.

I'm an obvious online banking novice. Our bank just got a night drop slot within the last couple of years. They thought that was high tech. Online banking is a long ways away. We don't even have ATM access.

Alot of folks have fears of online banking afraid of hackers... These sites are more secure then you know. I enjoy online banking and it saves me the tripp especially with the prices of gas.
