Why does the 8204 score ~4500 when other x1600 score ~3700 in 3d05?
I have an 8204 myself, and aside from the screen have been generally happy. performance in gaming however - it has absolutely shined, no doubt about it. running oblivion on high settings, with some things customized, i was using high HDR and it looked awesome with 25-30 FPS outdoors. Totally beat the crap out of my friends alienware x800 + 3.4 p4 behemoth.
WHy is it that the x1600 at stock clocks, 450/450 score ROUTINELY higher than other x1600 with identical or similar clocks? The w3j, s96j and HP notebooks all seem to score around 3700 stock.
What did Acer do to make their x1600 faster?
