For those of you who have a 17" widescreen monitor, 3M?
3M doesn't make any protection or privacy filters for the widescreen 17". They do however have both in a 17" size, but the side to side length is too short obviously. I bought a af17.0 (protection filter) on ebay too protect my monitor and to help reduce some glare. I'm going to have to trim it from the bottom though, and the sides will be about 1/2" short on each side. But this will have to do for now.
I spoke to a 3M technician and he said they just don't have the technology available to produce a privacy filter for the 17" widescreen notebooks right now because of the amount of light.
Anyone use these 3M products on their 17" widescreen monitor? What are your thoughts about them?
