I want to be able to get wifi at home with my laptop. I already have a dsl connection. The laptop I am going to purchase comes with a "Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 Internal Wireless" card.
I heard if you buy a wireless modem (any specific recommendations for a modem?), you can connect it to your DSL modem and not pay any extra for wifi internet.
I looked at the back of my DSL modem and see 3 plugs (DSL, Ethernet, and power). All 3 are already in use. Can I connect a wireless modem to this or do I need to buy a different DSL modem?
One more thing... Is this all I need (laptop, wireless card, DSL modem, wireless modem) to get wifi at home without paying extra per month for internet?
