Default Getting ready for Windows Vista

You may be ready to make the jump to Microsoft's latest operating system, but is your notebook? Microsoft launched it's Get Ready program in May in order to help consumers prepare themselves and their computers for the extra strain the operating system, most notably the new Aero graphical interface, will have on their hardware. For more on this you can go to: www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready.com

If you try to put this new OS on your existing computer, the required specs are higher for the new OS than the older versions- thus some computers have to be updated or upgraded for the operating system to function correctly.

Its better to not upgrade PC's to vista at this point of time let it run on the market for some time and gets patched after that only one should upgrade his/her PC to Microsoft Windows Vista.

That is good advice because you know they will be fixing the quirks with it for quite some time after it comes out.

No kidding. I've read about those who have tried the beta version. It just seems to early to fully criticize its shortcomings or to have to deal with them as well.

I'm sure it will be a decent OS once all the bugs are shook out.
