Networking hardware
The nodes are any devices on a network which can be addressed to be contacted by other computers, and are connected through repeaters, switches, bridges, and routers. A repeater amplifies and rebroadcasts signals in a network. A switch, also known as a hub, memorizes addresses to computers and sends information to the correct locations to which i is attached. A bridge is used to separate a large network into smaller more efficient ones. Routers, devices that identify the destination of messages and sends them via the appropriate route, are used to translate information between different computers, bridges, and even other routers.
