The State of the Net survey by Consumer Reports projects that American consumers lost more than $8 billion over the last two years to viruses, spyware and various schemes. In this survey, people lost over $630 million in the last two years to different email scams. Over another $7.8 billion was spent on computer repairs and replacements during this same time, to fix the problems caused by these schemes. Another good reason why we should research any product that we want to buy. There is poor regulations when it comes to the internet, anyone can try to sell anything.
