Talking I'm getting a LapTop. Seeking advice...

I am planning on buying a new laptop in the very near future. I'm a web developer and graphic designer. So I need a powerful computer that can handle my needs.

What would you guys suggest I get? I am open for suggestions and advice. I would rather hear the honest opinions/suggestions from you guys, then a salesman on the floor of a computer store.

Thank you in advance....

I just purchased a $800 HP from best buy. I didnt get any extended warranty, just a basic 1.6 ghz, 120 gig hd, 1 gig of ram , dvdr etc.

its a great machine for the price. it runs ps7, macromedia and others without a hitch!

I bought Macbook pro in the 2nd half of 2k7....primarily coz I wanna want to have smooth conferencing streamings with my clients when I am around...The best point is it is fully compatible with my http://www.rhubcom.com turbomeeting unlike vista...(it was very buggy then)... Yep Macbook do heats up little fast but still it do serve the purpose well.

It's been a while since your post so you may have already purchased your laptop. If that's the case maybe you could give us your specs & review.
I'm in the process of building a custom unit through NCIX online.
I use Photoshop & Illustrator & the last couple of units I purchased pre-built, came with so much junk included that by the time I installed the programs I need to use, the machine was already boged right down. AHHHH!
This time I'll build it myself & it won't come with all that preloaded crap from the manufacturer.
Cheers. Will

I suggest HP and Acer would be the best option for you, because these laptop brands are one of the best in the market today.

Thumbs up

Make sure to maintain enough empty space in your laptop, i suggest you use a tool to clean unnecessary files>

doing this, your laptop performance will be better
