"Democracy Player-Democracy Player (also known as Democracy and DTV) is an Internet television application developed by the Participatory Culture Foundation (PCF). It can automatically download videos from channels and play it internally. It is a piece of open source software, supported on multiple Operating Systems, that integrates an RSS aggregator, a BitTorrent client, and a VLC media player. Democracy is sometimes referred to as a platform to emphasize the complexity of this aspect of the software that extends beyond a plain media player. It uses Python as the primary language."
