Default OS Update
Hi All

I will be venturing into the Mac field soon - bought myself a 2nd hand PowerMac G4. I just wanted to enquire whether the latest OS - Tiger - has any major advantages over Panther. SEcondly, if I do want to update, do I have to reformat the entire HDD as for PCs.
