My desktop is an eMac running on OS X 10.2 I can't find anywhere on it where I can put a password security before using it.
My ibook has an icon for security.
We just got back from vacation and our housesitter made some really bad judgement calls.
Having other people over at the house which was a huge NO NO.
I had some stuff (jewlery) stolen and they tried to get onto my computer. Which I have banking info!
I had my laptop with me. I don't think they were able to get on since I took it out of sleep mode and shut it down. If they don't know Macs - the wouldn't have known the turn on button is way on the side of the computer.
When I got home, I turned it on and none of my emails had been dowloaded yet - so I think I'm ok.
But I would really like to protect my computer for the future. Needless to say, we're NOT going to use her again. We're looking for someone else but I just don't trust anyone anymore.
I guess I can always take all the cords away and hide them.
