for the past few hours ive been trying to transfer my pictures on my imac Hard Drive to my external Hard Drive.

I appreciate i cant use the drag and drop option but can anyone tell me how to do this via the command line.

I've got around 2000 pictures that i would like to back up but for cant seem to do this very simple task

Can anyone help
