Can't adjust column (view) width
in OSX (Panther, in particular), my understanding is that when a user is in column view, there should be a little textured handle at the bottom of the columns that allows for adjustment of each column's width. Unfortunately, my OS apparently wants to deny me that luxury as I don't have any column adjustment handle in my column view. The default columns are just too narrow to be of any use.
Is there some hidden way of disabling the column adjustment handle that I might've inadvertantly toggled, and how might I get those handles back?
(EDIT-) Bit of an update. It appears that Finder windows do indeed have column-resize handles; it's within applications that I'm having the issue. In Photoshop, for example, if I do an Apple + O and have it set to display in column view, there are no handles to resize those columns. The same goes for doing an Open in Firefox, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, etc. So now I guess my quesiton is, is there any way of adjusting the column width in an applications Open dialog box if you're using Column view?
