Default LCD Projectors

My husband has a dream of getting rid of his computer monitor someday and just using an LCD projector! Many board rooms have gone to this technology, but is it A. feasible B. affordable in a home office?

Smile LCD Projectors are used in educational settings

LCD Projectors are very efficient, but expensive. There is a benefit when people share this piece of equipment.

I personally don't think it would be too practical in a home office setting. I have used it in presentations for work and it is invaluable in that environment, but I wouldn't think to use it at home.

Question presentations

So what you are saying is they make great presentation tools---as per say---a power point presentation you would like to show a group----??? So the projector is one piece of equipment and the screen an other?

Default monitor cleaning

I have just sprayed a little bit of like windex or multi surface cleaner on a damp cloth and wiped the monitor off and then taken a soft dry cloth and immediately wiped over the surface. I do this with our television screen too. It seems to work without ac tually spraying the monitor surface itself. Please let me know if I am doing a really bad no no here, okay?

I couldn't agree more. I've used an LCD projector in the classroom, and that makes sense when several people are trying to see what you have on your screen, but at home this just seems . . . ludicrous.

I guess if you wanted to play games it would be nice, but just as an "everyday" monitor, that's definitely overkill.
