Default What is TTL monitors?

Do you know about TTL Monitors. Ok let me tell-- Monitors used with the MDA, Hercules, CGA, and EGA graphics adapters used in early IBM Personal Computers and clones were controlled via TTL logic. Such monitors can usually be identified by a male DB-9 connector used on the video cable. The primary disadvantage of TTL monitors was the extremely limited number of colors available due to the low number of digital bits used for video signaling.

Would this have been like the "green only font" monitors we had in elementary school when computers first came to the classroom?

Default What is TTL monitors?

Hello Friend,

TTL (transistor-transistor logic) refers to a particular type of digital circuit. More commonly, however, TTL is used to designate any type of digital input or device. TTL monitors are consistent with older graphics standards such as MDA, but all newer graphics standards, including VGA, require analog signals.

Thanks,
James

TTL stands for transistor-transistor logic and refers to particular kind of digital circuit. Generally TTL is utilized to assign any kind of digital input or device. A TTL monitor, thus, is monitor that accepts digital input. TTL monitors are reliable with older graphics standards like MDA, but all latest graphics standards, like VGA, need analog signals.

TTL is known as transistor-transistor logic, it refers to an individual type of digital circuit. A TTL monitor basically can’t deal with the signal from a modern video card.

Transistor-transistor logic is special type of digital circuit. TTL monitors outdated are no more in demand as it does not support modern day video cards

TTL (transistor-transistor logic) mentions to a detail type of digital circuit. More usually, however, TTL is used to designate any type of digital input or device.
