Default Screen Magnifier

If you have a hard time reading some of the print on your computer, there are some programs that might help.

The first program is Microsoft Magnifier. Apparently this is a built-in option. Click Start, Accessories, Accessibility, Magnifier. The reviewer thought the program was difficult to use.

Another program to try is iZoom. It's a download that costs. There is a 30 day free trial period. The reviewer found this easier to use, since you move the cursor to the part of the screen you want magnified.

If you don't like these programs or want some other options, try a search for computer screen magnifiers.

I just tried the microsoft magnifier and it makes no sense at all. It partially minimizes the page, then in a approximately a 1 inch space above the page, it magnifies what the cursor is over. It was truly ridiculous.

Or just old people, Des. I shouldn't say "old," but some of my colleagues in their 50's and up often complain about the size of the font on our programs. They claim they need to move away from the computer in order to see it, so I think that this software would be great just to save on eye strain when font size is not an option.
