I've read that the flat screen is much easier on the eyes. I've also exeprienced this first hand at going from a flat screen at home to an old-school monitor at an office. The old monitor killed my eyes. They were tired, and I began to see double on the screen.

I don't know why it is, but the flat screen is way easier on the eyes. When I switched and bought my first flat screen I could tell right away.

Widescreen
I'm loving my new flat widescreen monitor. It definitely doesn't kill my eyes like the old screen I had, and believe me I'm on the computer at least 10 hours a day with work. Big difference.

I don't see a really contrasting comparison here, it's just one sided. Flat screens come with a anti glare and occupies less space. It's been a significant feature of modern technology.

I would prefer the flat screen monitors. They will not only save you space on your desk but the quality of the picture from the screen is much more clearer. They have a better screen resolution and can even take a much higher resolution. It will also be a little bit more durable than the regular computer screens. Also, with the new flat screen, it's not so straining/stressing for your eyes. I'm glad I gave up on my old one when I bought my Samsung T260HD 26″ Widescreen LCD HDTV at a discounted price at www.techspyer.com.
