Good screen if you've got the cash
The Philips Brilliance 230WP7 looks like a pretty nifty monitor for the Joe-schmo at home, except for its $1000 price tag. That's right -- a monitor that costs more than some PC's. It looks attractive though b/c of its swivel feature. You can actually swivel the 20-inch screen so its either in the portrait or landscape shape.

True, but as I mentioned in another post, these monitors are not for the average Joe. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at their cost. Everything has a price.

I'm thinking that these monitors are for one of a few different people:
1) graphics arts professionals: the people that need big screens to deal with the details of their work
2) gamers: the ones that want a nice screen so they can see the details of their fun

That sounds pretty neat to me...I don't know if I would pay that price, but I bet you are right about graphic artists or photo editors!

AND I bet they can write the price off anyways. I mean, they still pay for it, but they can use it as a tax deduction if it goes towards their business or profession.

Everything seems to be a bit pricey but you have so many choices now between products that you can for sure find what suits you best for the price you want.

I just think it would be fun to have that kind of money to play with business wise.
