How do you use more than One Monitor?
I always see people in movies using more than one monitor at a time. Sometimes I am working on school projects that I woul really like to have two monitors set up and using?
Does anyone know how to use 2 monitors at the same time...
Like if I had a word document I could drag it over to one monitor while I read through it and took notes using a word document on the other monitor.
Hope this doesn't sound too strange? But I swear I have seen people to it before.

You need a video card with dual output, or two video cards. It's simple to setup, and can be a real lifesaver in certain situations, especially in applications such as Photoshop.

graphic designers
Graphic designers a lot of times used two monitors so they can see different projects they're working on simultaneously. Or if they're designing large-format banners, for example, they don't have to scroll around forever to put finishing design details on certain areas of the banner.

A friend of mine that works in computer services has a two monitor set-up. It looks like it would come in handy when working with big projects. I've watched him work on them. It's really cool.

I could see where the dual monitor would come in handy. There have been plenty of times when I have had to do different researches and thought there should be an easier way to get just the info I needed without printing out a lot of unnecessary items just so I could condense my thoughts on either the word processor, database, or worksheet. Good idea!!

I think that dual monitors would just hurt my head. I suppose it saves on the neck, though, by not having to look down at a piece of paper or a book and instead keeping your eyes level moving back and forth.

I think there really could be a lot of uses for dual monitors. I didn't realize how easy they are to set up.

A lot of college people use two monitors. It comes in really handy when writing papers. I have used it before, not my own, when I was writing a paper and needed to reference other information. Instead of having to minimize everything and go back and forth, I was able to type and see what I other information I needed. I also helped in that I could have multiple screens open at the same time. I actually have used three separate screens once on a really big project. They weren't all hooked together but that would have came in helpful!

I guess it would be handy to have 2 monitors. I would have thought it would just be aggravating but after reading these posts, now I want another one.
