Hi all,

The federal tax id is nothing more than an employer’s identification number that is also called as the EIN. It is a very legitimate proof of the business and also works as a social security number. The only flaw is that I have not heard of a lot of people who use this number. I understand that the IRS uses this number when they plan on identifying a business. Is this true? Is this important for tax filings? If I run a business, how am I supposed to obtain this identification? Can someone please tell me more about this?
