Default Problems After Crash

I recently had some problems with my laptop. When I tried to boot up, i would get errors. I ended up reverting to an older registry.

Now, the wireless ethernet card will not work. I've reinstalled it multiple times, but it still cannot find any wireless networks.

Any help would be great; I have to use it for my 2nd day of college later tonight.

Yes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I've tried updating the drivers.

The card is a GigaFast WF721-AEK

Thanks for your help.

Try running sfc /scannow to repair any damaged Windows operating system files.

AFAIK the card uses a Realtek RTL8180 chip, what about trying reference drivers from Realtek's website at http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...eyword=RTL8180

If you use Windows XP I'd also suggest not installing the utility supplied with the card and using the built-in Windows manager instead. To get this going, right-click My Computer and select Manage. Once the Computer Management console appears, drill down to Services and Applications, Services, then make sure the Wireless Zero Configuration service is running and set to start automatically.

Thanks.

I ended up formatting and putting Suse Linux on there. I've been meaning to do that for weeks, and this was a perfect time to do it.

Thanks for all the help
