Default Windows WEP password not saving problem

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with windows XP Pro SP2 not saving the WEP password in the wireless properties box. Is there a particular file which stores this info that i can check to see if it's write protected or not. The thing is I can adjust and save everything else except the password, I put in my SSID(disabled broadcast in router), sharing set to open/WEP enter passwords twice hit ok/ok and windows will pick up the signal and auto resolve the IP and all's good until I hit repair/disable/reboot, I go back to the properties and it's an 8 byte password instead of 10 bytes(only 64 bit encryption atm). I have the same card in another computer same O/S which works fine.
