So my D-Link DI-524 crapped out. I updated the firmware (via a computer that was directly connected to the unit) and restarted the router. After which there was no internet connection. So I went back into the setup page and restored the defaults.

Well now nothing works. I can't even access the setup page anymore. That and the stupid thing won't restart/reset when I press the button on the back of the unit. Even after holding it for '10-15 seconds' as suggested on the D-Link website. Can't find my bill or box for the unit so looks like I'm stuck with a fancy looking paperweight.

So I'm back to using my old wired SMC router. I might buy a SMC wireless router or a Linksys. Although I've ahd issues with SMC they've replaced my unit twice already and the 3rd unit has worked very well. <3 Lifetime warranty.
