I am currently searching for an all-in-one package. I have VOIP at home but a recent tech upgrade by my broadband ISP left me without phone service for 4 days which is unacceptable. I want it all - the reliability of wired service at my residence and a mobile technology utilizing the same number but with the cost of VOIP and wireless technology integrated into the same number. I have heard of a hybrid technology that will allow me to use wired connection while at home but automatically switch to traditional wireless when out of range of the base unit. Is this an urban legend? Am I asking too much? Any info on new technology/packages on the market appreciated

Ive heard VOIP just doesnt suit alot of people but Im not sure if there is any such thing out there have you searched the interent for best deals and other products?
