setting up a home network, wireless or cat5?
i want to move my computer outside the study room i am currently in right now and into my bedroom, basically because now both my mum and brother are in the room with me, and I can concentrate or read properly when they are talking.
At the moment the computers are networked using cat5 cables, my bedroom is only about 10-15 metres away, and i would prefer not to have cables all over the place. I heard that a wireless network is not secure, and sometimes drops out. I want to hear it from someone who actually has a wireless setup if this is true or not?
Also i am getting a faster internet connection up to 22mgs/sec, what is the fastest transfer rate on a cat5 cable as opposed to wireless?
Like i said i would prefer not to have cables all over the place, but if it is more secure than a wireless connection & costs alot less then i might just have to stick with it. What do you think will be the approx. cost for me to setup 4 computers + a server all on a wireless connection?
