First of all, I just bought the source multiplayer pack for about 30 american dollars, which means I get CS:S, DoD:S, HL2M and the source sdk. However, I'm downloading CS:S right now from steam at the most ungodly slow speeds. Is there any way I can get the files off another site somewhere, pop it into my steam directory (whatever directory that is) and then let steam install it this way? Right now I'll have to wait about 2 days for this damn thing to finish. I'm definitely NOT looking for pirated software or anything like that.

Alternatively, is there any way to get steam to open multiple connections to the steam servers so I can get content faster? I've found I can do 300KB/s if I just open up 3 or 4 more connections, but with one connection it's going at 20KB/s.
